I drove the truck before taking it apart. Everything seems fine. Trans fluid looks good and it shifted fine under normal driving. Odometer shows 113k. These parts are still in the truck but I plan to get the trans and tcase out Saturday. Id like to have a home for them beforehand so I don't have to trip over them.

Is there a metal tag on the transfer case, attached by one of the bolts? If so could u post a pic or type out the info?

Morgan I'll try to get that tonight.

Tom, I'll have to weigh them. They aren't out yet so if anyone can chime in on that I can get an estimate. I'd probably put them in a tote or strap both to a pallet. Whichever is cheaper. If you ever venture to Cleveland I have no problem meeting up with Matt so he can take them there also.

thanks, the number I needed to see is the 121982, unfortunately it doesnt shed any light on the subject of which truck(s) that clone was made out of, as this seems to be a Bravada transfercase.

It is correct for a Typhoon application, the 4472-06 and 15685141 confirm that, as every Typhoon will show the same info. The date even appears to be circa 1993 as well, so its as close as close can get for a non-Ty case. :tup:

The driveline was out of a rolled 93 Ty as was the interior(except the seats were 92).
At least that's the info I was given.

The truck itself is a 1990 Jimmy but I have the impression the the frame is typhoon. I guess I could find that vin. For my purposes it just hasn't mattered enough to look

I'm just curious for the dead or alive list to help figure out how many of these turds are left :rotf:

The serial on the t-case doesnt match any Typhoons, so maybe it was replaced before it even went in that truck.

I guess when you get around to pulling the motor, we'll cross our fingers the VIN is still on the block :tup:

I already put the engine in another truck and forgot to look for the vin :-/

Tom and Matt, you guys make a deal on the trans and front diff? I'll be down near cincy in the next few weeks and can grab it for you (tom) if you want it.

We never did work anything out. I still have them both. The trans Im pretty sure I'm going to end up rebuilding it and converting it to 2wd. Unless I come across a 2wd one really really cheap.
