Syclonekid43 is right, but the bellhousing has nothing to do with it. The 200R4 was offered in both Chevy and BOP bellhousing configurations, so its really a matter of building up the right core.

HOWEVER the problem is all about 2wd vs 4wd. The 200R4 (which is used in the GN) is 2wd only. Never offered in a 4wd application and doesn't have a removeable tailshaft housing. Therefore, the transfercase can't be bolted to the transmission. If you were really creative, you could put the transfer case in as a divorced case (mounted seperately) but that really isn't a good choice either.

Also, cost will be a big factor. To get the 200R4 to tolerate the big hp buicks, basically everything in the trans is replaced with high dollar billet parts and such. You're probably looking at spending as much to build a 200R4 right as it costs to do the 4L80E conversion (and then you've got to figure out the transfercase mounting thing).

Basically, the 200R4 is a no-go.
