Re: track tips for cooler running truck

Well forget everything you read above because i got this one down to a science.

I can repeatedly pull to the line at 140 degrees. using main battery to run fan and electric water pump you can cool motor down to less than the gauge can read (probably100). anytime you shut the motro off cuz of delays or the mop comes out you wont heat soak while motor not running cuz it cools so fast.

Problem you run into cooling off this way is you will kill the battery and be sitting there stuck looking like an idot with no power to crank.

So using a 2nd smaller street rod battery that is only active for ignition while/and spinning the starter with a dual battery solenoid and you will never have any issues. street rod batteries are pretty small and the little bit of weight is offset by the benefits.

Beats having to push down the lanes and worrying about how hot you are.

In fact if your next in the burnout box and a delay pops up, you will find that you end up being even cooler than if the delay had not happened! usually without this setup you would end up hotter.

has anyone tried a cry o 2 unit that sprays co2 in front of the intercooler or the unit that fits inside th tube from the turbo to the cac

I got one for my TY, but never installed it, I heard they were pretty much junk because if your intake sucks up any of that CO2, then the truck will pretty much fall on it's face off the line. IDK how that would work with the stock setup, I have an a2a that's why I got it.

I know you are all stock, but have you thought of upgrading the IC pump at least, if not going with the aux cooler setup like ATR made back in the day.
