trade if ty has sat for years and who know how much longer because the health issues you have let someone else that really wants it enjoy it and give it the tlc it needs and enjoy driving the c10 just change the tailgate on it.

Mostly the reason she has sat aside from the shoulder, is I live in the sticks.

Like... 6 mile haggered ass dirt roads to a freeway milepost, in the sticks.

Just no way I can drive it. Honestly, If I was able to drive her this would never cross my mind.

If you don't take it I will lovingly give them the keys to mine. Tell them they can keep the tail gate though. haha

Well. Gona go check it out here soon.

I think itll be a fun truck. And they can give the ty the love she needs right now rather than a few years down the road..

Re: Tough decision. Need opinions.

I would pay not to have that tailgate near my home, much less in my garage. Otherwise, it's a nice truck but I would not accept it as trade for a SyTy.

If I commence with the trade I will be installing LED rail lights in the valance vents under a painted STOCK gate.

The lights wouldnt be so bad if the gate was welded and they were moved out to the ends of the bed... or if they were more square.

Re: Tough decision. Need opinions.

Or maybe ill just install the mountain of parts I have for the ty and drive the damn thing.

**** this is hard. Pound for pound right now the silvy is worth more than the ty. The ty will and does get more attention...

Damnit this is a tough choice haha.

How are you able to drive the fullsize if you are unable to drive the ty ? The lowered fullsize rides better than the Ty? You said the Typhoon runs well and then you also said the first thing you need to do is work on the fullsize's tailgate/lights . Take that same time and money and enjoy your Ty .

You're to broken to need a faster truck right now IMO . Keep what you already own .

Tough call, but that truck is finished. The tailgate conv is well done, but I don't care for vette lights on trucks. However, it actually looks pretty damn good. Need interior pics and a real side pic and some stats on suspension and brakes.

Your Ty needs paint, it needs a lot of love to be a daily. Bushings and a complete refresh on rubber in the engine bay. Not to mention it has no ac right now.

I would trade and buy a Ty down the line as you get your business going and then you'll have a reliable daily for commuting.

I find it ironic that the rear of that pickup is queerer than a football bat.

That right there is a sign to not do it I think.

No wonder they want your cool shit.Their shit is gay.

My ass. Look at it.
Re: Tough decision. Need opinions.

When I see a truck customized in that way, the first thing to come to mind is that the driver has a little dick.

Re: Tough decision. Need opinions.

the fact of the matter is that the silverado is a nothing truck they made about a billion of them and if you ever need to sell it there is not going to be a real market for it,the gate conversion is terrible and the wheels look like they where bought when having a Boydster was still cool, also good luck if you ever have a problem with the dual zone HVAC who knows how that was put in....on the other side the Ty will always be collectible and there will always be a market for it, realistically to do the same LS swap in the Ty that is done on the silverado really wouldnt cost all that much, you could probably sell your good running stock 4.3 and trans for nearly the money it would take to jam a LS in it,,,,,,keep the TY

Re: Tough decision. Need opinions.

If you can find the time to swap the tailgate and change the tail lights on the Silverado, why don't you have time to do anything to your Ty? If you won't drive your Ty on your dirt roads, why would you drive a show-quality lowered truck on them?

Re: Tough decision. Need opinions.

For what it's worth and of personal opinion, starting a new business with customers maybe coming to visit a shop/store I'd say a cleaned up and polished up old Ty is a better sales grabber parked out front than a custom Chevy. I get into more good conversations about the rarity of our trucks , kind of like a rare gun?

If you need a good daily driver the custom Chevy will also need some attention to keep looking good versus just an old beater for the rough roads...

I'd keep the Ty, unless it needs major major repairs to make a daily driver again,
