we'll we took the silverado to the track. got some times on it. it was a busy busy day so he only got two runs. first run it popped out of gear on take off. second run was ok but he still needs a shorter shifter. he did manage first run a 16.5 at 102mph and second run a 15.* at about 103. i have a vid of the first run for you guys.

for shits and giggles here is my tahoe. this is a no boost launch running about 12psi.

i tried to launch with boost on this one and red lighted. i didn't know it when i did it. so i ran a bad time but faster mph.

He really needs a auto.

My buddies best is a 13.0 I think in his silverado, with 3rd gear gone. But he's got a 408 stroker and a small procharger.

102mph isnt bad though. I hate the 4.3 in my wifes silverado, its so underpowered for its size. But she dont care its "pretty"

yeah if he had an auto he would be moving for sure. the thing is fast but he can't shift too fast the trans won't let him. we are working on atleast upgrading the clutch hydraulic line. that will alow the clutch to disengage faster. right now at high rpm when he smashes the clutch pedal he has to wait a second before it will come out of gear. but on the streets its faster than my buddies nizmo 350z. so its doing something.

i wanted a Sy/Ty motor in my 88 K1500 shortbed back around 99. i couldnt find any of the parts to did it with then. stock it was a 4x4 with a 4.3L TBI
