Can you guys recommend a tire for me. Heres my story, on the way home from work the right rear tire fell apart on me about 5 miles from home, the tire left the two side walls still on the rim & the tread was riding on the inside rim bead so it didn't damage the truck, I called the Goodyear tire store in Redlands Ca, They said bring it down, They looked at it & said it was a Warranty Problem & they would take care of it. At this point no paper work was done. They took my rim & put a new tire on it & gave it back to me, Without thinking  I asked about the new Warranty paper work, Then their story started to change & the bill they tried to give me was for 300.00 dollars, We started argueing :agrue: & I told them to take their tire off & they said it will cost you 10.00 dollars for that, grrrrrr :agrue: They finally got the tire off my rim & I left..... :x :x The good news is it didn't hurt the rim or body at all :) .

so your saying you need a place to buy a new tire?

www.tirerack.com

good prices, delivered to your doorstep usually in 2-3 days max.

Either Belle Tire or Discount Tire matched Tirerack's prices for me. The only thing is that they didn't include all the extras in that price, since you'd have to pay those costs if you bought them from Tirerack. So I ended up paying Tirerack +$10 or so for each tire balanced, mounted, etc.

firehawk sz50ep

got these in a 255/50

love 'em.

cool tread pattern and have 340 treadwear.

I had these before. They stuck like glue. Rather expensive though. I'm using dirt-cheap Kumho 711s now.

I want to say thank you on the tire recommendation. May I ask 2 more Questions on this.
1. What are the differences between the FireHawk SZ-50EP & theBFG G-Force T/A KDWS??? :-? :-?
2. What is the quality of the ride & handling like for both tires, & why do you like them???? :-? :-?

Sz50 is a performance only tire, do not attempt to use in snow and only use in cold if you heat them up properly otherwise below 30 degrees they suck. BFG kdws is a all season tire which suck in my opinion they came on the front of my sy when I bought it.
To compare apples to apples the sz50 is similar to the bfg kdw, but I would get the sz's in 255s over the bfg but thats my personal opinion and I am somewhat biased being I work for a firestone dealer
I few others you may want to try are brigestone potenza re730 and re750, s-03's are nice but they will last you 5000 miles if you drive them nicely.

Oh another thing, sz50s are soft compound tires so they wear out quickly, depends on condition of truck but you should easily get 10,000 miles out of them more if you maintain them. The bfg's will last longer but sacrifice performance. Good luck and if you need anymore info just ask.

Dunlop SP5000s - 340 treadwear and good traction

I will second this. Great tire on my DSM- went through 2 full sets(of the course of 40,000 miles) i
ts cheap(the were under 100 per tire for 205/55/16's back in the day),
kicks ass for in the dry for an all season tire,
kicks as in the snow,
pretty quite,
nice built in rim protector bead,
W speed rated
plus have a cool tread patern(if you're into this sort of thing)
Looks like its 116 a tire from the rack. This tire was light years ahead of the shit Eagle RS-A's they come with stock. Plus for the kind of canyon driving I do, these tires lasted quite alot time on a 3400lb awd car.
