Sacramento Raceway was so disorganized!

It was only test 'n tune and I only managed to get in three runs on my new turbo.

I think 11's are going to happen with some more testing and a a bit more boost and timing advance.

Adam,

As mentioned above, lets see your 60's 660 ft and 1/8 mile times as well as your other runs not to mention your mods. I purchased the TE-44 kit a week ago and now I'm getting real excited to slap that bad boy on there. More info please!

Nice run ::eek:k::

Here's a comparison between using the 9/11 TC w/ stock turbo vs. 9/11 TC and TE-44. These are almost identical situations. Same boost.

Stock TE-44

I1 1.780 1.780
I2 5.255 5.155
I3 8.195 7.929
MPH 84.135 88.187

E.T. 12.845 12.380
MPH 105.323 110.125

Motor is bone stock. Valve covers have not been removed since new.

when were you locking up the convertor?

The converter is a TCS Billet 2800 stall built tighter for better street response. Brian Hartman built the tranny to run very high line pressure, so a TC lock up switch is not necessary. I would like to have the TC lockup points reprogramed though.

Did you make all 3 runs on 21psi?

Actually, first run I was running about 19 psi about half way down the track, so I reached for the boost control knob on the Boost Command and turned it up until I reached 21 psi.

The downside to the Boost Command is it's analog, so you really don't know at first how much to advance the knob to get the boost exactly where you want it.

The second run was 21 psi the entire run.

The third run I tried 24 psi for an 11 second pass, but the T-1 settings on the ultimate chip only allow a max of 22 psi and I hit overboost momentarily.

I only got three runs in and I had planned on running some of the street/strip and hopefully strip programs to get faster times. I didn't have the chance to really "tune" as Sacramento Raceway is so disorganized!

Nice times!! Thanks for the info. It seems like the PTE Turbo package really improved your top end. Is that how it feels by the seat of the pants, as well?

What you mentioned before with the mod list and times was what I was looking for. Adam, what exactly do you mean by better intercooling? (Jabsco pump etc?)

Absolutely better seat of the pants, especially coupled to the new tranny.

I really feel the G force at the track through out the entire run.

I'm almost able to enjoy racing. The only downside is the constant worrying about the stock grenading. When the rebuild happens, I'll have a little more piece of mind.

Nice. Thanks the info. Very good MPH. Also nice to compare the stock vs 44. Very consistant 60ft's. :D

You had mentioned running the T1 settings. You should see another .3 and 3-4 mph with the T2/T3 setting and equivalent boost. With good air you should easily see 11's.

i have almost the same go fast parts as you axcept i have a set of maxed l35's with 2.02 1.60 and a comp 412 cam. I was told that i can get in the mid 11's by a few people, so thanks for posting your times it is helpful to me. Good Runs :D

You are so right.

Test n' tune $40.00 plus $7.00 spectator fee. Three runs is not enough to test n tune a truck with a new turbo set up. My plan was to be conservative and run through the upper street programs before trying the more advanced timing programs. I didn't want to blow up the motor after driving 100 miles to the track.

The next track session should hopefully put me in the 11's.
