SY#1202 Car Show

Thanks again to everyone that helped me get my bargain priced SY back together and running strong. All the hard work really payed off and here's the proof.

Well, I stayed up all night saturday cutting a set of decals for the SY. It was a last minute decision to throw them onthe truck before the car show Sunday. Judging began at noon and I was there waiting. I ended up taking 2nd Place and got a fair number of cheers when I collected my trophy. Here are a few of the pics I took... Be sure to check out the last one

SIED NOTE: No TEAL TY this year. I guess that rust bucket actualy sold this time.

Here is the rear finally completed. I tucked the exhaust in much further than before eventhough they look like they are sticking out... they aren't. (you can see above)

Here's a brainstorm I had... posted my kills in the rear window

This pic actually came out pretty good. I'll probably use it as my desktop for awhile.

FINALLY... one of the reasons we all sit out in the blazing sun all day at car shows. They were all pretty cool actually and the blonde asked to go for a ride sometime.

It's custom, I fabbed it up in the garage.
Stock DP dumps into 3" back over the axle. Then it splits to dual 2.5" with tipped mufflers. I have
different tips that I will eventually get on but it may be awhile, I'm having too much fun driving it.

Thanks Marty and everyone else  I was a little skeptical at first and even hesitated at buying it because it was such a basket case. BUt now I am so glad that I got it It's got to be the nicest $7K truck out there with low miles to boot! I'm gonna be in debt to a number of guys onthis board for a long time.

WoW jon!

The truck cleaned up nice.
I am glad you went with the indy 500 decals, and reversed out logos.

Now, let's see some timeslips!

Re: SY#1202 Car Show

Timeslips are coming June 6th (hope all goes well it happens to be 6-6-6)
Tony will probably join me, maybe Mike (krepinty) and you could join me?

Anyone else interested in StL Come on out  $15 to race and $10 to watch
Last trip I made 6 passes and had time to spare inbetween but it'll depend on
how many cars are there. I probably could have made 10-12 passes.

Yah the truck looks great!! Do you have any pics of when you got it so we can see what you had to do?

Is your intercooler painted or is it powdercoated?

Where do you get all those stickers from and did you clearcoat over them?

I posted a lot of information about the changes I made. If you have any specific questions feel free to PM or Email me. Basically the guy blew the tranny and began taking it apart. He kept the headers, DP, turbo, ignition components and numberous other parts. I collected everything that was missing over the winter of '05 and a couple members helped me get it all together early spring '06.

I believe it's powdercoated along with the accessory brackets. They were that way when I got it and I have plans to get rid of all red under the hood.

I made the decals myself thanks to another member lending me his set for comparison.
