Stock Wastegate

I just got the Applied Technologies Stage 1 kit put on my Typhoon as well as a boost guage (finally). So anyways, if I punch it from a roll, it tends to overboost like it will shoot up to about 20psi which I know is way too much for the stock engine. Is there anyway to adjust the wastegate or anything else I can do to make sure that the truck doesnt overboost when I punch it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. The chip I have is the ATR Pitbull chip I believe.

theres quite a bit of talk about over boosting, search and see if you can find a discussion that meets your needs.

if you have done modifications to the exhaust your problems may lay there. removing cat,muffler, either or or both has been known to cause problems with the stock wastegate, It just cant flow enough w/o backpressure keeping the turbo under control.

Otherwise, start looking at the wastegate vacuum lines, actuator, and solenoid.
