Re: Spring gathering
I was wondering how long it was going to take you guys to make an official invite. I stopped in the fall and your dad said he would like to host something. Your parent's plce was the first meet I attended, prolly '99. We can push your truck there if it's not running, the host has to try to represent, right. LOL. FYI to everone else, Klingers is a great little place, real good food, and like Aaron said, it is a nice little neigborhood. Do they still do the shows up the street at the drive-in?
I've just been killer busy ever since last Nats - the whole family has. (That's a good sign.) I knew the time would come to throw out the SyTy meet idea, just waiting for the right time. We're just thru year one and it's been more than any of us dreamt it could be. Full page article in the local paper, two page article in local "living" magazine, 4 appearances on the local news (not for food poisoning! :tup

and lots of "it'll be a few minutes for a table". (We have 2 dining rooms seating 50 each, plus a bar in each seating 15/8 people.) We're trying to do it right - good food, prices and atmosphere - and luckily the neighborhood is supporting that.
I still have pics of all those trucks in my parents' front yard Jason...somewhere. The drive-in is under new ownership and I don't think they're still doing the shows like before, but maybe a couple times a year. (There's a Sonic nearby that can be invaded should you choose. Lots of rice there.)
If anyone cares, we have a crap website - basically a text version of the menu while my buddy does the finished site. (Can't rush free.)

The best info on us is (sadly) via Facebook for now:

I didn't mean to chime in and unseat anyone that wanted to host - feel free to have it somewhere else this time, just keep us in mind for the future. It'd be great to see everyone and meet some new faces. (But if you really want to do something here, we can do it.)
