spark plug gap

I am wondering what the best gap is for the spark plugs.

Only reason I'm asking is I just did plugs... And my veci sticker says .035 and my blue service supplement pg 6D4-2 says .045

Re: spark plug gap

I'm starting to discover the truck has some mods.

So far 40# injection, egr delete, had air intake. I need to investigate and see what type of chip it has, because it is obviously calibrated to run egr delete and on the 40# injectors.

I gapped them at .035 but seen in the manual and was wondering why there is 2 different specs.

The truck smells like gas bad when running. Very fuely

You can also install an air fuel ratio meter this will be a
good starting point to see if your tune is running on the
rich site ..

I looked the Syclone supplement and sure enough it says 0.045. It should be 0.035 and I am guessing the service manual supplement is a mistake.

For a 100 % stock truck I usually set it to 0.035; for an engine with higher boost and colder plugs I usually set it to 0.032. The lower spark plug gaps 0.025 to 0.030 that you will see on this site is only needed with with alky injection.
