Wanted to add a quick poll, so I created a new topic instead of adding to the old one.

I need to wrap my head around racing numbers and wanted to see who all is gonna be doing some racing. Sy, Ty, SoGT, rental car, whatever....if you're racing, please vote. The tire question is strictly for autocross and I"m trying to figure out how to modify the PAX for our classes. If no one is running race tires (r-compound or slicks), then that gives us 2 classes, stock and modified. If we have some race tires guys then that gives us 4 classes, Street Tire Stock, Race Tire Stock, Street Tire Mod, and Race Tire Mod.

If you're not sure, post a pic or info of your tires and I'll tell you.

Also, just as a quick reminder, here's the breakdown of stock vs mod:

Stock - constitutes a stock Sy or Ty with the following allowable modifications:
- Shock change (coilovers excluded)
- Roll ball addition or removal (rear bar and larger front bar allowable)
- Larger wheels/tires (maximum 275 width on any tire)
- Brake upgrades (Must remain single piston front caliper and drum rears)
- Any torque converter
- Any size injectors
- Any ECM modifications
- Any intercooler upgrades (must remain A2W)
- Stock or L35 heads
- Stock or 20G turbo
- Any exhaust (must retain stock or JS DP)
- Any weight reduction (ABS delete, AC delete, etc...)

Modified - constitutes a modified Sy or Ty that falls outside the allowable mods above:
- Any suspension upgrade
- Any tire size/width
- Any engine/power upgrade

Street Tire = Minimum 140 treadwear
Race Tire = Any treadwear rating below 140 (or any rating with assigned R compound designation)

Obviously, we have a lot of variety in our mods, so we'll make a judgement call if you fall close to a category, even to the point of (possibly) assigning a "per mod" PAX reduction value. I'd like to avoid that, but it's doable if need be. E.G. Someone has an otherwise stock truck but has 295/315 tires.
