Sherwin Williams automotive paint

OK, I have a couple of questions..

1. Has anyone ever use Sherwin-Williams automotive base coat paint? If so how did you like it.. I have sprayed PPG(DBU), Omni, & Matin Senour.. I prefer PPG however I am having a hard time paying ~$215/gallon.

2. Does anyone know the Sherwin-Williams base coat paint code for 93 Typhoon frost white?
I did quite a bit of searching and I am coming up with conflicting info.. I seems that the GM paint code is 12, the RPO code(from glovebox) is: #5111. I found this great chart:

http://www.tyguy.net/newtodos/gm_sy_ty_farbcodes.htm

My local Sherwin Williams distributor can't match that code.. If you look up 5111 on their site you get this.

The problem is that there is no frost white on the list. There is a yellow white that covers our years but our paint never looked yellowish to me..

I'm thinking that white for 91 - 91 is the right one but not sure...

Anyone know for sure?

Thanks,
-Matt

Re: Sherwin Williams automotive paint

If you do a vehicle search on the Sherwin-Williams site you get this:

MFG------------Model------OEM Code-------Formula-------------Vehicle Part--Color Name----Year(s)
Gmc Truck---Typhoon---WA5111 , 12---1492,2030,7209---Exterior--------Yellow White---92 - 93

The "Yellow White" is what concerns me.. I have never heard it called that before..

Sherwin & WIlliams paint is nice.. IMO it is just as nice or nicer than the overpriced PPG..

This is what I used:

I've got all of the pics here but I used an old digital camera and most of them don't do it justice...
