There must be stamps or part #'s on both I DON'T have either in front of me ....just trying to consult others on what they have observed.... So that I know what to look for in certain areas on the part...thanks for the observation of my ? #747 who are you isaac ****ing newton? I don't need silly comments from the peanut gallery if that's what your implying. That's why I'm asking others from personal exp...

It would have helped to tell us that you are not looking at the parts in front of you, or if they are installed or not when you initialy asked the question. Just like any automotive part, look for stamps or P/Ns like blue83z said. But as a counterman you should have known that already.

one very easy way (sometimes) is the fact that ALL factory fenders have seam sealer between the lips on the inside.(where the fender seam curves under the hood to meet the grill)
i realize anyone in body work can add this to an aftermarket fender , but the so called $10k paint jobs never do.

They are lighter and they fit perfect.. No need to get so upset just trying to let you know that the non OEM stuff isn't that bad..

It's hard to tell when people are being sincere on here especially when dealing with cetain members who come on here so I apologize.... I'll snap picks when I go look at them....they are all ready painted blk so if they are good I'll just throw them on my truck and call it a day...and I'll do a step by step how too just for fun with pics..

I can respect the question. If buying a used vehicle and I know that the guy used gm and/or higher quality parts in general (with docs) thats normally a good indication of how the vehicle was maintained and repaired. Normally money we'll spent in my opinion.

Exactly ! Nicely put.... When I do something I wanna do it right or not at all and as far as I'm concerned I'm too far into this truck to start being cheap. I'll have this thing until I die....

after markets dont use seam sealer
look for the absence of it in the creases- factory will be painted over- it came that way from gm.
most painters dont know or dont care to tell you and do the right thing when repainting your truck for 10k.

What I know.
GM used a primer gray (2k my guess) to seal the insides of the fenders. My GMC syclone original fenders had this gray "dipped" primer. When I say dipped, Its like GM or who ever had the job was to fully submerge the fender to completely seal insides. Though I may be wrong..
Some one backed into my truck and I was faced with replacing a fender. I noticed on the inside the full-seal-gray with factory black overspray. I am sure this can or will vary vehicle to vehicle as all are different colors. I just noticed the primer with BLACK in my case (SYCLONE) overspray in the oil cooler area. there is webbing in the fenders that created the spray. I tried to replicate this in my vehicle and to me, This is one thing that is easily pointed out if you are looking. I went through the trouble to get a BLACK oem fender and it needed work I tried to preserve the inner primer finish and could not.
You can look at my passanger side and it is very clean, gray primer is visible and the minimal factory over spray .Where my driver side is a different story

its almost always painted over from the factory.
gm used it for years, my buddy's original 86 Chevy truck, tailgates doors etc all have it.
