Gateway has open test-n-tune every Tuesday night at 6pm (gates open at 5:30). $15 ($10 spectators)
OK everyone... I've finally got my SoGT running decent and I have a number of mods and upgrades that I'd like to do... and test. I know it's not a SY/TY and it's nowhere near the 12's that you guys are running, but Hey... Give me a break EH? LOL Come check it out and join me in my quest for a 13.999 w/o the juice.
Anyway, some of you know that I did the Vortec upgrade and had some issues at NATS. I got all the bugs worked out and I'm ready to make a decent pass unlike the ones I did in KC. Before the years up I will also have a custom chip, torque converter and rear end gears. I'm hoping that'll put me in the mid 14's. Right now I'm guessing a mid 15 (don't laugh, it's decen't for a basically stock GT). I was thinking we could set up a regular get together on the FIRST TUESDAY of every month to BS and what-not. Great oportunity to make a few passes to test our upgrades and get to know each other a little better.
As far as I know, we don't have a regular group get together. It's just occasional happenings that are almost always on a Sat night. Meeting the same day each month would make it easy to remember and convenient knowing there's a good chance that someone you know will be at the track. I'd also be more than willing to offer my place for meeting grounds since I'm only about 15 minutes from the track. We can make it an afternoon BBQ with minor wrenching and have an evening of racing.
I'll be at Gateway SEPT. 6th and/or 13th for my first run since NATS. I'll post later this week which it'll be for sure (if not both). Im going again in Oct. and Nov. if they are open although I doubt it. Come springtime I'll revive this thread and maybe we can get a few participants for Tuesday Night Racing at Gateway? I can't see a better way to spend a Tuesday night for $15 and a few gallons of gas.
