One method used in an effort to improve performance on computer controlled vehicles is to alter the signal coming from certain sensors. There are many ways this is accomplished, on some vehicles moving the IAT sensor to an area of cooler air is supposed to cause fuel enrichment, or in a more complicated scheme JET's power module for the LT-1s intercepts and modifies many of the engines sensors. I was wondering if anyone had any experiance with these devices, opinions, comments, etc..
There are two such devices I found which should work on our vehicles.
1. TPS signal modifier, this one is from Caspers electronics
http://www.cAsperselectronics.com/cgi-local/store/commerce.cgi?product=GMCARS
This device tricks the ECU into going WOT at throttle positions greater than 70%
2. O2 signal modifer?, from Hyperspeed
http://www.hyperspeed.com/
This device (I'm guessing) modifies the 02 signal based on an RPM cut in point, to provide fuel enrichment.
I guess to a point these devices shouldn't (although they could) be used together, as (I believe) the O2 signal is ignored by our ECU at WOT, thus negating the effects of the Hyperspeed device.
Thx Brad
