Sawzall blade for front hub trim

Ok, in searching I've found several posts stating you can trim the excess off the end of the hub using a Sawzall to make the ZR1 wheel center caps fit. I tried a Bi-Metal blade and got no where. I seached Home Depot and only found a weird looking balde for cast iron. Will this work, or what type of blade do I need to use?

I didnt have any sawzall blades that made a dent either when I did mine 9 years ago, I used a die grinder and a cutoff wheel, piece of cake.

Same here, die grinder will knock them out in a couple seconds!

I used a hand held band saw that made short work of them both

Cutoff +7, had to do it for my vette wheels center caps, or any wheel that's going to look good up front.

go get a angel grinder with a cut off wheel they are cheap and dont need a compresor to run. at lowes or h-dep and most come with a grinding wheel and cut off wheel . it toock me about 2 min per wheel just watch the sparks.:tup::tup:

Thanks for the input. I have a compressor and die grinder, I just need to get a cutoff wheel.

Heck, I just used a hand held hack saw. :rotf:

that'll do it too, it just takes a while but your arms will get real buff:rotf:

lennox sawzall blade. buy 2 and use some oil for lube. should take about 2 minuets per side. dont let the blade get to hot or it will fail faster. little bucket of water and dip it every 15-20 seconds will work.
