Same width but slightly taller than stock

Does anyone know if there is a readily available tire size that would be the same width(245) but slightly taller than stock. I'm looking for something like 245/55R16 or maybe 245/60R16 but I can't seem to find anything..

Thanks,

Probably the closest thing is a 235/55/16. This size comes on most all newer trucks like the extremes with 16 x 8 wheels. Apperance is close to the same as a 245/50/16 and is also alot cheaper in price.

Awesome.. I think I may have to give them a try..

Just FYI

245/50R16 = 25.65" tall
235/55R16 = 26.18" tall

I wonder if these tires would be less likely to follow ruts in the road as they are slightly narrower..

Anyone think there would be much(if any) reduction in traction?

Thanks,

I don't think the change in traction will be noticable, but they definately will feel sloppier in hard cornering!

Have these on the truck right now for the winter....I know that they are 235's, but I am not sure on the sidewall....the 245's run better though....I have them on my chromes for the summer.

Why would you want to put a taller tire on?? Taller tire + high speeds + 4,000 lb truck = CRASH. Like they don't handle like crap already.

Got any pics of your truck from the side with them on it?

1) I don't drive fast.. I like to blast from 0-70 but really have no desire to go any faster than that.
2) I'm sick of the way the wide low tires pull every time you hit any little tiny rut.. I'm liking the idea of the 235s being a little bit narrower..
3) I don't particularly like the way that the lack of sidewall on our tires helps every little bump be felt..
4) I'm thinking(but def not sure) that slightly taller tires may fill the wheel wells a little more and possibly look a little better. Not sure on this though.. Would love to see some pics.
5) I've already modified my DRAC so that it can be recalibrated for different sized tires:
