Hi,

Does any one has a replacement part number for the rubber oring / gasket that goes around the center caps?

I seem to remember someone referencing it from the McMaster Carr catalog instead of GM p/n...

Many thanks !!!

I don't have a part number, but what I did was use an O-ring repair kit. It's a kit that has several 4' or longer lengths of different diameter ring cords. You simply measure, cut, then theres a small fixture to glue the two ends together. Let the glue dry for a minute or so then install. I just cut them a little small so they would fit nicely in their groove.

Thanks guys,

Mike, I will try to order through attached website and see what arrives. Be nice not to have to worry about super gluing o-rings to match diameter but can see it getting trickier to find parts.

I was also reading the post and mentioned a reference to Wheel Wizard here in Atlanta for refinishing center caps and rims. About a two years ago I took over there for a quote just on the fronts, mostly to cleanup dust stains and recoat. They would do rims together with caps at $300 per wheel. So still contemplating that price ...

Have a good one, Pete

O-rings set came in mail Friday from KG, put on yesterday!!! Fit is perfect. I was originally just needing it for the front caps but then checked the rears, though still in one piece, had slowly dried up over 18 years. Amazing what you normally don't notice unless you look for it.

Ready to go another 18 :)

Thanks guys!
