Back again, after the diesaster in Germany with wrong converter. I got a new converter a couple of days later. I put it up and tested it on the jackstands, and it felt like it was going low 7´s I made a decision to go to north Sweden on a test and tune. What can I say!? In Sweden we have midsummer sun, and it´s so beautiful. This picture is taken 12 in the midnight. But we have lots of moscitos.

I like the place very much, and it was fun to meet old friends from the north side of Sweden.

Fixing an old car or something...

The time is 6 in the morning.

The track was prepped only 60 foot out. Concrete to 1,8 mile. Rest of the track was asphalt. Very good brakingdistance 4 mile long.

Finally time to test. I was very nervous first out. Is it gonna break or not? Stall and let it go, yes it is working this time. I felt after 60 foot that I was loosing tracktion, but I never let it off.

Enter the pitarea and got the timeslip. Happy when I saw the timeslip. Finally the Syclone delivers again! One thing is for sure, it´s not easy to get an AWD truck to go fast.

Went back to see the film from the run and we decieded to soft the chassi a little bit. Made one more pass, scored 8.8 again! But the car was spinning much worse this time.


As usual here in Sweden it´s raining when it´s race. We had a rainstop for three hours.

We adjust the boostcontroller to back down the power. But same problem, it went up in smoke again after 60 foot. What the hell... we decided to go home. I know for sure that when I´m gonne come to a really glued track it´s gonna go fast or I´m gonna break something.



We packed and went home with two 8´s
I´m so impressed that this V6 can deliver so much power! One thing is for sure you don´t need any NOS V8 or so to run fast.

Congrats Robert. You do know that the fall here combined with some sticky tracks we can lead you to might be fun.

Heck i could get you more racing in 1 week than you do all week in sweden.

That video is amazing Robert. I spent the last 3 days in Salt Lake City acting as pit crew for a friend with a 'Top Dragster' rail.... 406 small block Chevy running 8.0's & 167. One of my jobs at the starting line was to monitor wheelspin before car movement... we had converter problems, so didn't run like we should.

Imagining your Sy leaving the line and running almost as fast as that rail, down the track, is almost unbelievable! You certainly have my respect for what you've managed to accomplish! :tup:

With the traction problems that video shows at the 60', I would think you're at least down in the 8.6's or 8.5's...or faster... your mph is certainly showing the potential! Too bad you weren't in Salt Lake... they had the VHT sprayed heavy clear out to at least the 330' mark!

For reference guys cars here in the US running those MPH's are running a 1.3 to 1.2 60 ft time. That .2 seconds off his. A general rule of thumb is .1 sec. 60ft is .2 sec in ET.

Put his truck without any other changes in the 8.4-8.6 range.

I can tell U guy´s its a privilige for me to follow Robert around Sweden, Europe and even US, he is a great friend and a genius mekanic, engineere and transmision guru, besides his skills as a tuner and coffe maker .

Just the numerous of runs Ive been there, watching him make 9.0 runs and Hight 15x mph I just new this truck was going to fulfill its name... "Syclone"

What a difference when this truck hooks and can make a deasent run on poor track and still hit a 8.88

I wish we where at Bowling green or KC again with this Syclone...
