removing torsion bars from pork chops?

darn things wont come out, control arms are off vehicle, the adjustment block is out of the cross member, bars are just stuck in the keys or pork chops, any tricks or just beat them into submission?

Heat the chops up and use a BFH.

You can do one of two things.

Put the control arm back on the torsion bars turn them to so the won't pull through and use that as leverage.

Use something to shim the pork chock from the back of the crossmember so you can push the torsion bar back to break the bond.

two or three cut off wheels per side to make them short enough to remove.

Liquid wrench, WD-40, PB plaster (your choice) and as stated, a BFH! Take off the skirt and swing away.

I just used my portable bandsaw and cut them both out.

Get said lever between the backside of the Tbar inside the porkchop and the crossmember and it Will move - a bit of lube as mentioned above and .........
I used a crowbar - a 3 to 5 # BFH on the end of the crowbar is an option.

Sorry if this is what you are already talking about, but most unbolt the crossmember itself and pound the whole thing back.

crossmember is unbolted, control arms out, body off and motor trans out, and they still wont move Im gonna get medieval soon

Bolt the crossmember back in and do what I said to do, or air chisel. I made that mistake the first time of unbolting the crossmember. Your making this far harder to do than it should. It should take you maybe 10 minutes to get these out. The usually come out with 3-5 hits of dead blow or Sledgehammer.
