rear leaf spring bushings

What's the best bushing to go with? Poly/energy, original delco parts, Moog?

Has anyone done them? Is it a pain in the ass? Torch required? Or press out ?

I think mine are about shot. Looking at them looks like dry rotted and could be space in between them causing movement. The truck occasionally feel like it pulls hard in rear and the rear is " walking".

Thanks.

I just did mine on a sy not sure how different they are on a ty, poly ones require you to leave the metal sleeve intact and in the frame. Im sure oem replacements come like stock with the sleeve which you just beat the old one out and put the new one in.
Poly Instructions said to use a torch but i had wires in the way and didnt want to make a stinky mess. I used a balljoint c-clamp with a socket and pressed the center bolt sleeve out, then used a sawzall to cut the rubber bushing into pie pieces and they came right out leaving the stock sleeve in the frame for the polys..
I wasnt planning on doing these but i had it all apart and seeing how bad/broken down the old the stock ones were i figured i might as well. I also had to cut one frame shackle bolt off as it was rusted to the inner sleeve so keep an eye out for that.

Thanks for the reply Skolman, I might just buy original stuff to simplify things.

Its just 4 bushings right? I would imagine there pretty much the same.

Well 6 total if you count the front spring bushings, but yes its 4 when talking shackles. If you take the springs all the way off you might as well change the fronts out to imo..
The poly kit comes with all 6, i didnt use the fronts as i put in caltrac bushings if you decide you want them for whatever reason lmk i think i still have them..
