Question to all midwest owners

If you've been following my post in the lounge "dealership or small town mechanic?" you'd know that my truck is in bad shape after a newer build and being where I am (kirksville, upper NE corner of MO) there's nobody who knows how to work on my truck. I'd fumble through it myself, but I'm a first year medical student and they are absolutely hammering us with information, and a test or two, sometimes four per week. So I don't have the time, or the knowhow for that matter, to fix my truck.

It seems that the best thing I can do is entice one of you guys to make the journey up here to help me out. I'd compensate whoever came up to the best of my abilities (as I stated in the lounge thread, I can't spend more than 2000 total to get it running.) I'm riding my bike to school, and we're getting into patient encounters where I want to show up clean, unwrinkled, and not sweating to at least one of them. Anyone who can help will seriously help me out more than imaginable. Thanks

Winter: another reason why I'd love a working truck. I'm about 210 miles NE of Independence, MO.

He lives in Springfield and has a small turbo hotrod shop, I have met up with him a few times.
