Proud new Ty owner

Hey guys, My name is Logan and I am currently deployed to Afghanistan and I took a risk and bought a Typhoon over the internet. I am now the owner of 1993 Typhoon #0756m Blk / Blk. This isn't my first toy but it is my first blind purchase so I am hoping it is as good of a deal as it seemed. In about a week I am flying in to pick her up and spending my R & R going through it and working on anything that needs attention. I also own a 1992 S-10 4x4 that is getting some work done while I am home and a 2008 ZX6R in bright "look at me!" Lime Green. I have already been going over a lot of the tech stuff and hope I can contribute some in the future. I will definitely put up pictures of any projects I undertake cause if I am learning then someone else may benefit too.

I will not be able to make the Sytyshindig because I only have two weeks of leave then it is back to the desert at the end of June. I am from Oklahoma and my truck will be staying with my dad who is also a GM nut in Arkansas. I think I can trust him but I don't know, his toy is a 80 Z-28 but it hasn't ran for close to 20 years. Kids and a wife will do those things.

I already have the bug, before I got it I was looking into different ideas. I want to keep the appearance fairly stock, obviously the wheels are aftermarket and I am debating on maybe going with 17's or 18's but nothing too crazy on the outside. I would be happy with around 375 - 400 hp and be able to drive wherever I want. I know that is about the same as saying I would be happy with a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader wife who is cool with my girlfriend but hey, a guy can dream. We shall see where it goes, this is my first turbo motor so I am learning a new side to performance.

I can only imagine. I am bad about having a performance goal and then once I get there.....yeah well we all know how that goes. There is always that one last thing that needs to be done.

Finally got the Ty and well....she is in need of a little work. There is a misfire, possibly an exhaust leak.....hopefully but my gut tells me worse because it is a distinctive metallic tick that makes me shudder when I hear it. That and the ghetto ass backyard performance upgrades, rats nest of wiring to God only knows what, a boost controller with no face plate and front cladding that appears to be held on with hopes, dreams and some modified who knows type of construction. I have my work cut out for me. Good news is, I made it back from Chicago to Arkansas with only minor annoyance from the power loss and tick.
