[Project] Rebuild the Duck!

Hey everybody,

With the incredible help of Captain Morgan, we are rebuilding the duck. I managed to blow the motor nicely in as little as three months. So here are some progress pictures of the rebuild we've been doing over the past two days. None of this would be possible without Morgan, I'm simply the bitch that fetches wrenches lol :rotf:

That sounds like me. But I usually just stand there with a flashlight. I guess I cant even get that wrong. I just dont understand why my friends give me the flashlight in the middle of the day :dunno:

You should also clean up your yard with the down time. j/k
its actually my yard, and if I didnt have 98743948 projects going on at once, that might actually be possible.

hey eric, where is the good piston picture?

you live next to a boat storage or something?

that engine hoist is pretty cool. Is that a Morgan original?

everyone working on their trucks... guess it's time to button mine back up and get it back on the road. Only 6 more months until NatsX.

Pretty much, its actually 5 lots that were overgrown with weeds for most of my childhood, then the lots were purchased by the marina thats one block over from my house so they could use it for winter storage of boats and obviously someones old camper  It works for me though, I have my spare Ty frame sitting on their lot, along with a good part of my scrap metal pile too,

nope, its actually a Morgan's Dad original. He built it for removing engines out of boats.

I havent touched my truck in over a year, almost 2 years now, lol. My front diff is still in pieces and I still have a bolt in my back tire from June '05 Nats, and it still has an electrical gremlin thats been pissing me off for just over a year now too :D

Those props are pretty pimp!
yeah, and sadly enough, 1 of them costs more than my Typhoon, Erics Typhoon, my El Camino, my Celica and the Trans Am combined, :(

Re: [Project] Rebuild the Duck!

Well a week off with myself back at school and morgan back at work, we met up today to work on some more things. We have another day or so or work left, but morgan got a lot finished. I can't thank him enough for what he's helping me with. For some reason I couldn't even put in spark plugs today without messing up heh. Here are some updates:

Sunday Morning, to my surprise the motor was already dropped in my the captain.

Up on the jack stands, obviously where 99% of sy/tys are currently

A motor shot at the end of the day, everything is in and ready to be tuned. If only we had a couple more hours we may have finished, but better to not rush it.
