pre-turbo exhaust q's

So I have a concern that was brought up to me by another person about the exhaust I built. This issue was that the pipe coming across my engine would expand and crack at some point in my exhaust, I am wondering what you guys think. Note, it is all 304 stainless 15gauge and is going to be TIG welded as such.

the pipe coming across the bay is the one in question, or at least the one that has been suggested to have a flexible tube inserted.

Good advice just install a flex tube in the crossover
pipe you can also use a v band flange and clamp
easy to remove !!! ;)

P.S Did you cut your firewall ?????

Re: pre-turbo exhaust q's

alright, I got one with the interlock liner, it was only 26 bucks so Its not a bad deal at all, and I'll bet the quality is way better. Thanks for the advice!

yea, alot of the firewall is gone and will be replaced with something similar to a doghouse out of a van. The motors back about 14 inches from the stock 4.3 (this is a 3800)

Re: pre-turbo exhaust q's

Interlock Liner
Vibrant's Turbo Flex Couplings with the Interlock Liner feature an internal stainless steel Interlock liner to facilitate smooth flow of high temperature exhaust gases, thus making them ideal for the extreme demands of high performance turbo charged applications. Tech Tip *Ideal for high flow, high temperature, Forced Induction Applications. Note: End Caps are Stainless Steel.

I saw that, and so I got the interlock one
