Porting Upper Intake

Being that I'm taking off the Upper intake to replace the valve seals and 60lb injectors, it looks like porting the mismatch might be benefical. I read a post saying it was bad, but on the other hand I've seen a lot of people doing it.

Should I port it or not?

Personaly Sean i wouldnt port the intake, yeah i see it would be like killing 2 birds with one stone while you got it all apart. I dont think the slight gain in flow an hp would be worth the time, if it were me i would buy a better flowing intake system vs. modify the stock one. Also if you mess up ......... Which im positive you wouldnt....... But lets say you did! That would be a shit ton of polishing to do again!! Lol. Anywho my vote Sean is that I would leave the intake alone UNLESS your having flow issues

How does the gasket match the the bottom half ? It may be a none issue.

my lower intake matched my gasket, but the upper definitely did not. There was alot of matching to be done, but you have to be careful, the material gets thin at the flange.

That is where I was going. If the upper intake opening was smaller then the gasket. Then you can ether leave it alone or do some work very carefully to both.

The upper isn't as much as an issue as the lower.

Also, the real issue with all of it is the uneven distribution front to rear....
