Hey, I'm picking up my new 2" cowl hood SAT, and I'm looking for someone local who does paint, preferable on the side to keep my costs down. I can go anywhere within an hour of Hoffman Estates (60192), but am picking this up S in Plainfield. The Ty is down now, so I'd like to leave it until I can drive it there to install and align it. Looking for any referals or fellow board memebers to help me out with this. I have Adam working on this for me too...but I wanted to see who is out there.

My Dad has a client/friend that has a body shop in Orland Park. I had some work done on a white Typhoon I had years ago. My buddy just had his TTA fiberglass spoiler painted. He is probably not super cheap but I can vouch for his work. Let me know and I can get a quote for you.

Is the stock hood rusting? Just wanted a cowl hood?

how nice is the current paint on your truck. Will super shiney new paint look good against your fenders the least you would want to do is let your painter scan your current color so he can tint to match. you may have to blend the fenders to get the best possible result. That becomes more costly but you have to pay for a high quality job.

I am no wheres close to you so I guess I am out of the picture. if only I was a multimillionare I would have a semi with a 53 footer with a complete paint and body shop, have Jeff drive me around the country and do all the work everyone seems to need.

The paint looks suprisingly good for a truck with 150k. I know it's had paint work done to the front, but the stocker color I got to touch up a few spots looks to be a nice match. It doesn't have to be a perfect match, as I plan to paint the whole thing in the next few years.

My dad has a buddy that does body work on the side in Hodgkins. He does amazing work, he does work for the city of Chicago. When I smashed up my Syclone, it came back perfect.

Hey there is a good place in Elk Grove not too far from Hoffman. I need to paint my new cowl too and I am gonna use them.
