Overboosting - can't figure it out *DM file attached*

Got my new Sy on the road last week and it has been great, except for this overboosting problem i can't figure out.

Truck will overboost to 20+psi at just around half throttle which i confirmed with a DM reading. There is no fuel cut out however, and no codes are thrown.

Dm shows that the wgdc is only at around 40 so this means it is not opeing the wastegate enough correct?

I have the new vac line kit (installed correctly), and the wg arm at factory specs (7/8 overlap).

Anyone see anything i am not on the dm file? Rec 2840 to 2900 is a good example of the overboosting.

is your cat gone? sounds like you might have a pitbull chip if the furl isn't cuting out

Brand new OEM cat, w/ RPM exhaust w/ no muffler. I'm heading out to look the the chip now

your chip should be AYBM 4053 from what DM is telling me

Correct. Reman 16198263 ecu.

No knowledge on that ecm, i use #749 but this says it should work...

maybe someone else will verify...U have a aftermarket boost controller? So you didn't have this problem before the new exhaust system?

Aftermarket turbo? IF you haven't seen it check the wg rod adjustment here: http://www.tuneyfish.com/video_player.php?vid=235

no aftermarket boost control of any sort. didnt drive it before the new exhaust.

I see you have a low numbered Sy. You may want to consider some insight from the Master Technician Overview found at:

Specifically page 10 (12 of 60).

The page number will make sense when you open up the PDF.

Just checked and i didnt see anything chaffed or cut. Would have been nice if it were that easy. Good idea though.

With the wastegate solenoid unplugged i get the correct ~8psi.

Tried the wastegate from my Ty, with the same results. Next up is to swap the solenoid.

Is it wierd that the truck inst cutting fuel when it goes above 15? Its only for a millisecond that its above 15 because i let off quick. Maybe its not enough time for it to shut the fuel.

Bad wastegate solenoid?

Should have listened to myself. Swapped out the solenoid from my Ty ans no more overboost. So it all seems well and good for now.
