Oddfire distributor wanted

Re: Oddfire distributor wanted

IIRC it's a GM 10051133 or MSD 8596. No current production as far as I can tell on the MSD part, but the GM part has a nice, cute price. John Gerber was selling an MSD last year. Not sure if he sold it or not.

What exactly is the difference with these distributors? A different shaped reluctor ring and a different shaped cap?

$750 for a distributor with mechanical advance :shocked!: Why not a distributorless ignition with coils and an aftermarket ECM?

This is the last one I have. I had a couple over the last ten years, but hardly ever see them anymore. It's the 8596 setup for odd fire.

It's also has a slip collar for adjustment. $260 includes U.S, shipping.

Its the reluctor wheel thats different. Look at the spacing of the teeth they aren't spaced evenly like a stocker would be.. I'd be curious to see a pic of the cap looking straight down from above it.. I bet the spacing of the pick-ups is reconfigured for odd-fire as well.

My guess is thats the only two differences...
