Norwalk opening day

I know it's kind of early for this, but I wanted to see if anybody was interested in going to Norwalk Raceways opening day. it's on April 3 and 4. if anybody wants to meet up there one of those days that would be cool. I probably will end up going anyway, But wanted to see who would be interested :D

I may be interested if the truck is out of the paint booth by then. Will it be a Test and Tune night like the regular Fridays?

If my transmission is back together and installed by then (and I still live in OH) I will try to make it out :D ! It's a shame to live less than 30 minutes from Norwalk and never made a pass there :-? ...

i should be able to make it, very interested to see what i can do, truck is stock, ran 14.1@94 with 200lb passenger and shitty back brakes and tires at dragway 42 in the fall

What's this talk about if you still live in Ohio Mike? You plan on going somewere :D I can't beleave you haven't been to the Norwalk before. Everything I have owned has been down that track.

hahaha.....i've had quite a few cars down that track myself :D If my truck isn't ready by then, maybe i'll throw the quad in the pickup and drag that out there. It would be good for a 20 sec. run :wink:

And yeah Mike, whats going on? Are you relocating somewhere?

:lol: Been their done that. Well it wasn't me, but my friend took my scrambler 400 down the track a few times. Laughed my ass off when he stood it straight up on the starting line. It was good for 18's I think. Dam thing would top out way before the quarter though. Also seen a few 400exs too

Well gents, if I don't work at one of two machine shops requesting my presence currently there is a good chance I will be defecting east of the border to Pennsyltucky... If a trip to Norwalk don't yield a 12 sec timeslip with T2 20 psi, I'm gonna be pretty disappointed.

Well guys, are we still on planning on going? If so, i'm hoping everyone would be game for the Sat Apr. 3 date as I have to work on Sunday and wouldn't be able to attend. What do you guys think?

Any day is cool with me. I began my new job last week as a CNC operator at a machine shop that is *right* behind Norwalk (the shut down area is behind the plant). Chances are my truck is still going to be transmissionless as my builder is still working on it. I have been wanting to make a pass in my 1988 3.4 powered S10 daily driver to see what it'll do. Hope that I am in the sweet 16's 8) ! RJ and I will have to rumble :lol: !

Well, just to let everyone know I will be showing up Sat. around 2 or so. Not sure who else is attending but i'm hoping to see some other Sy/Ty's there!! Looks like my truck will be in atendance by then :D Hopefully the weather clears up though. :drinking:

Just found out today that I have to work a full day Saturday (till 4:30) so, the earliest that I can be there will be 4:35... FWIW, you guys with your trucks had BETTER run better times than my daily driver S10 will or else you WILL get made fun on the BB :wink: ...
