Non-Stock Shifter Cables

I got in a hurry installing my new prop shaft and screwed up my shifter cable. GM quoted me $270 for a new one so I'm looking into alternatives.

Autozone lists a Hurst 5' shifter cable for $36

Summit Racing lists a B&M 5' shifter cable for $40

Has anyone used either one of those or some other alternative that works?

Bolt in replacement HD piece. No drilling. All hardware. $165+shipping. NOT a GM piece.

yes i do! 145 + shipping. all new brackets, for the pan, and shifter linkage on the trans.

all hardware, included, and one year warranty!:tup:

also works with gilbert shaft.

Thank you for the offers. I may take one of them up.

Before I do that, I need to know if the Hurst or B&M cables will work or not. My truck does not have a rust problem and I don't plan to do any heavy duty racing with it so I don't think I will need a shifter cable much tougher than stock.

B&M or Hurst will not work with the stock shifter and linkage arrangment.

That's why myself and SS are making these.
