As some of you know, I'm getting ready to move the truck from my brother's shop to the new house so I can actually work on the damn thing again. I was getting stuff prepped this weekend when I discovered the tires are completely shot - dry rotted and won't hold pressure for longer than 10 minutes.
There is no way in hell I'm going to be able to get the truck up the driveway with this garbage on all for corners, and buying new tires for these (possibly damaged) wheels isn't in the budget.
So here's what I'm asking:
Is there anyone around Chicago that would be willing to let me borrow a set of their "crap" wheels so I can move this beast. I'm talking the wheels you bolt up when it goes into the paint booth, not pristine stockers. I'd only need them for a weekend at the most, and would fully reimburse you if anything happens to them.
"So what's in it for me?"
Glad you asked...you get beer/booze of your choice. A case of what ever you want, or if you're not a beer guy, then a bottle of what ever you like - just don't expect a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue 200th anniversary. Ask for that and I'm hand delivering a handle of plastic fantastic Popov Vodka for you're enjoyment.
