I was originally tossing around the idea of having my headers coated. The problem is, when I fabricated the headers, it was my first time, and I didn't make them extremely easy to take off and on while in the truck. It's so difficult, that I don't think I'll ever do it if possible. They were hard as hell to put on with the engine out of the truck.

Is wrapping them even worth it, or should I bite the bullet and take them out to be coated once I've heat cycled them a few times?

No Wrap! Too easy for oil to soak in and start fire! Only Coat them or leave them alone!

I am just installing my for now with the plain stainless look and will take off in the future.

We fitted mine in the truck "custom made" so getting on and off is easy.

Where did you get those chrome valve covers I've been looking for a chrome OEM style for awhile now

Ebay always seem to be the best. Edelbrock makes very nice cast aluminum vavle covers which i can't fit with the roller rockers. They have add'l ribbing inside so if you go roller rockers they would need to be modifed or just get the metal ones.
