Just curious what seems to be the mininum octane needed to run the ultimate chip on the T 3 setting?

With no knock retard,,or very minimal.

Also, what octane needed when using methanol injection w/Ultimate chip in T 3 setting?

I never ran my Ultimate chip in any other setting other than the T1 setting.


Should it make a big difference in my 1/4 mile time by switching to the T 3 setting?

If so,,, how much,,,1 tenth,2 tenths? ,,,more?

just try it and see what the wbo2 says,I would use at least 100 oct to be safe

Since the lb4's are so prone to detonation, starting with 100 (as mentioned) is a good idea and data log and see what happens. Watch closely and be ready to back off immediately if the kr ramps up. I wonder how many stories there are of rods out of the block due to detonation. I know of quite a few from the old broken elbow / overboost situation. Watch closely and have a quick foot. Good luck.

Just get C-16.. haha I have no clue on t-3 setting just wanted to say that..

Alky certaintly won't hurt. There may be a few factors on how it all works. Air temp, engine temp, intercooler water temp, carbon buildup just to name a few. The lower iat's from alky will help no matter what. If you don't have alky now (assuming you don't) start slow. Let's give credit where credit is due. I believe Dig suggested a third gear roll, ease into the throttle and boost and watch Datamaster for KR. If all seems well, keep getting more agressive. Don't let it rattle. Might want a co-pilot to watch your data logs as you go.

I just have the non adjustable (other than jets) Aquamist 1S system.

Has anyone dyno tested, the differences between T 1 ,T 2 ,& T 3 settings?

Just curious about that one.

i agree,if your going to turn the boost up put the c16 in it,be safe and nothing to worry about.

Have you guys run @ a track with the chip on T1 setting, then run it in T3 mode with race gas?

What where your times?

HP differences?
