Metal Intake Manifold Gaskets??

PUMPING THAT IRON!
Wondering if there is a better intake manifold gasket out there, other than Victor or Fel Pro. Seems like the Gaskets offered by most auto part stores are simply generic, or the same material oem uses, which i do not want. Seems like alot of weird problems arise because of the stock intake gaskets. And ill bet alot of sy/ty owners have erratic issues(rough idle etc) because of their stock intake gaskets are blown out, and dont even know about it quite yet. IMHO, I believe the boost takes em out more than a manufactures installation, or defect. Will an oem gasket take the abuse, and for how long? What do you think??? And which brand did you use? I want to order a set today, but not sure what direction to go. Thank you.

FelPro held up to 44 lbs on my truck but the engine died violently.

RTV on both sides of the gasket around the intake and water "holes".

Not a promise, just experience.

EDIT:

I like the "Blue" on the intake holes and "Copper" on the water holes.

Again, JMHO...

JU is mo-than-welcome.

The guys runnin' mega-boost for a long time (I dunno if it's you) may have problems but mine did not at insane boost levels.

I'm going for 15lbs this time for a driver.
