All 10 trucks were ship to asc as complete syclones, they all came form defrent dealer ships not gm. I was told by my contract that the parts were sold off and scraped.

Tom Argue needs no welcome. His post count is low, but he visits often. Tom has been a member of FAST for years and has some of the cleanest trucks.

Remember, Typhoons were not chronological by VIN like the Syclones were.

Here's the PAS tag from the truck..with build date.

I do paint/body for a living. I know the quarters have not been replaced. There are no holes welded up where the cladding mounts should have been on the front of the panel. If there were I'd have seen that from the inside of the truck. I checked that before I ever bought it.

The PAS sticker has never been removed.. it came on this body... it's not been re-painted either. So What ever this truck is... it's definatly not a "production" line regular truck.

Info that Spormachines has doesn't indicate anything special about it. Built 9-Dec-91, Shipped from GM 10-Dec, Received at PAS 12-Dec. Left PAS 16-Dec.

Doesn't mean that there isn't more info about it elsewhere. I guess I wouldn't be surprised to find that it had a "special" owner at one time.

John Koss told me it was unpossible to get a RPO Typhoon with no cladding.There may have been some 91 Jimmy vinned mules,but NO WAY one went down the assembly line sans cladding.

In my experience in the workplace, design engineering (even the head or lead), doesn't always know everything that goes through manufacturing.

There's a guy named Ray who lives in Soquel, CA who owns a Typhoon with no cladding that looks exactly like that one. I saw it for myself, has the PAS sticker and all. Pretty cool.

Wasn't there a white one on e-bay a year or 2 ago, stripped down to the shell, it had the aluminum 4x4 rims on it, the guy relisted it alittle later and had touched up the rusty spots with a spray bomb. He had a few ugly questions about how authentic it was as a typhoon.

LIke I said... the guys stripped the truck and all I got at this point is a empty shell. But I figured it'd be worth saving since there were only a few made.
Getting alot of the parts to put her back together again this winter.

Any other info would be great... at least I know at one point it was at "Paris" dealer in MI.

I'm not sure why you kept those pictures so long but I'm very Thank full!!!!!

Jeff Scott (JsManufact) Was here on Sunday and looked at it. Definatly a Ty.
It has some wax hand writen numbers on the firewall in two spots as well. I guess they didn't do that on regular "Jimmys"

It looks 100% legit to me. Sticker in door jam, core support with correct stickers, no signs at all of welded up body panels (and the interior is out so easy to inspect).

Someone either #1 went through a TON of work to duplicate a ty without cladding (which I doubt highly, no real reason to do that) or this truck is something of a test vehicle PAS built for something, special customer, pull a horse trailer something.
