Since I've had a few requests recently, I'm gonna run a post here. Anyone interested in LS1 E-Brake mount brackets? They attach behind the mount flange on the axle (need slightly longer bolts) and will allow an e-brake cable to be installed to the LS1 style brakes. The brackets pictured are the originals, and the new ones will function the same way, but allow for the LS1 style ABS sensor at the wheel.

I'm going to say $100 shipped for a pair, mild steel. I can slap some rattle-can on them if you want. They work like a charm.

EDIT

I am now going to post the new design brackets, which are fully compatible with the ABS system on Syclones (rear axle mounted sensors). They may need to be notched slightly, as does the axle mounting flange if I'm not mistaken for the LS1's on that setup.
$100 shipped a pair gets you: 2 brackets, two coats of rustoleum high heat enamel (black), and a general install sheet.
The mounting holes in the brackets may need to be massasged slightly to fit, I fit each pair to my Ty but every truck is different. They are set up to use 3/8" hardware on the backing plates.

Re: LS1 Ebrake Brackets

To be honest, I have no idea how well the PBrake holds at launch, I've not finished my truck yet. It will hold it good and solid on an incline though. I sold them to two guys in NY, whose names I've forgotten, they could tell you better than I can.

Re: LS1 Ebrake Brackets

Which cables do they work with, the stock sy and ty or LS1?

I may be interested in a pair as well.

They can work with either, but for the LS1 brakes they'll require the LS1 ends to be swapped onto the stock cables. For LS1 cables, you need to add approx a foot of cable between the end of the LS1 cable and the balancer on the pbrake cable from the cab.

They will fit inside the stock rims, I'm going to angle the cable mount slightly so the cables should clear any rim
You're #4 on my list

Re: LS1 Ebrake Brackets

Which are these set up to work with, Sy or Ty cables. It's been awhile since I looked at my Sy but it seems to me that the cables are different on the two.

Re: LS1 Ebrake Brackets

As far as the cable ends go, they are the same. The Sy may have a different length cable which may mean that the LS1 cables can't be used and instead the LS1 ends need to be swapped to the factory cables. Either way, the bracket will hold the cable.

Re: LS1 Ebrake Brackets

What is involved when switching the cable ends? is this a no brainer or something that requires special tools. Thanks!

Re: LS1 Ebrake Brackets

I used LS1 cables on my truck. To the best of my knowledge (and there are guys here who've swapped em, can't find the post at the moment), the ends are not simple to swap, however I've also heard of sliding the LS1 cables into the syty lines... I think the easiest way is to add the 6" or so of cable by the splitter and use the LS1's cables.
