LS1 brakes on an 86 S-10 Blazer?

I'm in the process of working on my V8 Blazer project and see that a lot of you guys have done the LS1 swap. I have an extra set of calipers and rotors a friend gave me, so it seems logical.

By searching, I see I see CBR is the place to go for the front spindle parts, so I already emailed them.

But my question is about the rear brakes. Seems like it is a direct bolt-in for Sy/Tys, but what about an 86? Are they pretty much the same? My rear axle in my truck was rebuilt a while back and is in pretty good shape, so I'd hate to ditch it. If it is a direct bolt-in, then no worries, I'll grab the parts and get to swapping. :tup:

I read alot of people saying to stick with rear drum, just upgrade it a bit. Still undecided what I want to do on my Tyclone, I will be doing C6 Z51 front brakes, might go with rear too just for aesthetical reasons, since I have a set of Silver C6 18/19 wheels. I'm pretty surethe rear LS1 is "bolt on" but never did any research on it yet.

Is your Blazer 2wd or 4? If it's 2wd, you can getr the conversion stuff for the front here

Well, I figure since I have them and it would be kinda cool, I'm gonna do it if it is truly a bolt-in deal. We're using this truck to showcase our side business (powdercoating) so a trick setup would get people looking more.
