looking to mod my turbo

someone refered me to someone on this site that will help me rebuild my stock turbo and maybe upgrade my wheel to a 20g any information on this would be great.or is it just easyer to buy a 20g and where could i buy one thanks

I can't imagine it's much different that swapping parts on a Garrett turbo. Just get a 20g compressor housing, compressor housing back plate, and 20g compressor wheel.

I would at least install a 57 MM compressor wheel, the 20 G wheel is wimpy.:2cents:

Wouldn't a 57mm compressor wheel outflow the exhaust housing too much?

I would also recommend having the turbine wheel clipped to increase the exhaust flow.

With a stock 8CM turbine housing , you can afford to increase the exhaust flow by clipping the turbine wheel, the 8CM housing & turbine wheel are kinda small for a 4.3 liter engine.

I think people are pretty happy w/the Waller stock turbo upgrade to a 57 MM compressor wheel. No drawbacks that I have heard of. Anyone?

I forgot about clipping. How is spool up?
