looking for an outstanding orthopedic surgeon

first of all, i apologize for posting this here. i realize that lounge is supposed to be about car stuff. but i am hoping that this might be more seriously taken than if i put it in off topic, where i am moderator so i would apprecite it canadian, morgan, jesse, and jason if you would let this run a little while in the lounge area before deleting it. i am attempting to network a little in a group of guys i associate and correspond with.

for my friends, i don't need to explain this post. for others that don't know me, the title pretty much explains it all. i am looking for a very competent physician who is used to handling complicated cases involving spinal and hip problems. In a nutshell, i had back surgery 12 months ago for past injuries that has not worked out too well, and then got lucky and broke my hip in may that didn't heal right and the combination has left me unable to stand or walk. the sy got a new turbo and some other stuff for this coming year, but the owner of the beast has definitely been slowed down. and I'm wondering if anyone has a father, mother, aunt, uncle, or close friend that fits the bill on this, or is a physician in a practice who has a partner that fits the bill. i have pretty well exhausted the people in my area and after 1 year i am looking for a serious suggestion on someone from mayo, cleveland clinic , johns hopkins, or other large medical center in the midwest or southeast area, but that is not mandatory. people can email me privately or post info publicly, but i would apprciate noone posting jerky responses to a serious topic.

thanks

I have had three back surgeries in the last two years. the first two were done by a orthopedic, they did not help my problem. The third I did some reasearch on the web and found Dr Kenneth Burres in Monteclair CA. He did my last operation on Aug 28. I have been back at work now for two months. His contact number is (909)625-5599. Dr Burres saved me from a two level fusion.

BTW I was off work for two years before I meet Dr Burres

I've gone to Dr. Michael Dillingham of the SOARS Sports Medical Group. He is also the team doctor for the San Francisco 49ers. Went to see him when i broke my arm many years ago playing football, and also recently for surgery on my shoulder.

Stab it and steer it
24 years ago I had a SEVERE ankle injury. Most people didn’t even know but I wore a brace on my right leg from just below the knee to inside my shoe to help keep my ankle straight. With that brace I could do almost anything except run. Anyway, I’ve had it looked at a few times over the years and nobody wanted to touch it. I found a Dr. Schakel at Santa Rosa (Ca) Orthopedics who said sure, I can help (not completely fix) it. First Dr. in 20 years who said he was interested in fixing it. At least to make it a little better. Anyway I said go for it. I’m in a cast which comes off Jan 6 and we’ll see what happens. I write this mainly because anyone who was willing to work on my ankle with the positive attitude he has gets my vote.
