A long time ago when the Harrah's automobile collection was auctioned off (there were so many cars it took 3 auctions) the final sale of the most desirable cars was held at the Reno Convention Center. It was a huge production. I was lucky enough to be there and see the fist car to ever sell at auction for more than a million dollars. It was a Duesenberg which had belonged to, I think, Clark Gable. Great fun.
FWIW I had considered a car in the first auction but there was such a frenzy because of the Harrah's name that it went for almost 3 times what it was worth. Unbelievable.
