I figured that's what you were referring to. Since we're back on the subject, I'll repost what I posted in Mike's thread about what to do when using them.

From what I gathered, they mainly use(d) them in Cadillac engines straight off of the assembly line. Suppose to not clog up radiators and heater cores like bar's stop leak and made of organic material. If you're going to use them, start with two. Crush them up in a ziploc bag with a hammer pretty good so there's no big chunks and dissolve them in boiling water. Then pour the solution into radiator. If that doesn't help, use two more.

awfully similar packaging, also ive read that bar's makes the kits for gm :)
what you want to avoid (other than leaks in the first place) is the aluminum or solder pellets. those can def. clog stuff (is more for emergency use like split radiator or heater core)

edit: I did some more searching and it seems that Bar's does make the tabs for GM. If someone could find the MSDS for the GM tabs, we could verify that. At the same time, the instructions on the Bar's packaging are a bit overkill.

In case people were wondering about how I figure 1 tab per 7 qt: The official GM dosage is 1.5 grams per liter of coolant, which is 0.05 oz/qt. At 0.35 oz/tab, that leads to 1/7 tab/qt.
