Knocking on the door of 12.5s

At the track yesterday making my usual 12.7-8 passes and out of nowhere I click off a 12.69, a .68, and then a 12.618 @ 105.9. No clue what's going on, hadn't changed anything all night. What was cool was that I can tell when it's a good pass because it pulls hard all the way. If, for whatever reason, it's not quite happy it kinda goes flat on the second half. It was pulling hard all night last night. Fun.

Running on just a tad more than 1/2 tank of 91 with 2 gals of 96 added. Helps the spark retard a bunch. DM is with the computer at the shop will try to post it later if your interested.

No other reason for the post, just happy the way the truck is running. No real need to go much quicker because if I break 12 flat I go to a different class.

Maybe it was a humidity/temp thing. If the dew point had hit maybe you were getting a bit of water injection!

Density Altitude probably.

I used to know the DA(density alititude) every time I went out. I would intentionally only hit cold, low humidity, hi barometric pressure days to hit my best times. Correcting time also helped me figure if changes I made actually helped or not.

Good points. It was a cool and dry day. Tower was reporting +215' DA although I'm not sure I trust their calculation. I'm waiting for a patched chip to read AFR but I also think that I'm getting real close with the alky settings.
