Let me start with my factory cross air tube.
My hood has always rubbed on my cross air tube. So much in fact, That it wore holes in my hood heat shield. I did not want the hood or hood heat shield to touch the carbon cross tube in any way. So I did several modification to accommodate my personal preference.
NOW... on a scale of 1-10 .
MANUFACTURING = 10
When you consider all the R&D it took to make this part. To create this tube from scratch and ship in 9 weeks. Now figure in the fact that he made 10 of them. That is pretty damn good.
SHIPPING. = 10
Shipped on 11-20 and received on 12-06
16 days is not that bad for standard shipping. Plus the box had no damage. A+++
PACKAGING = 9
After opening the box, I noticed that the tube had several braces to keep it from rattling around in the box. The tube did have some light scuffs on it from rubbing the inside of the box but polished right off.
Visual.
This is hard to judge as a hole. So I will judge it by top (seen) and Bottom (not seen)
Top = 9
Very nice, Clean. The tube had several coats of resin that gave the carbon a lot of depth. It had a couple imperfections and a mat look in the center contour that needed to be polished out to give it that full mirror look. It polished right out and LOOKS GREAT
Bottom = 8
The bottom has a nice gloss black coat on it. There was a lot of imperfections (bubbles) on the surface. Carbon and fiberglass is a pain in the ass when doing this kind of project. It is damn near impossible to get all the bubbles out before it hardens. All the bubbles could have been filled and reworked to a perfect finish. But its the bottom. Who cares. M2C
FIT = 10
Now, from air filter box to turbo. Prefect. Fit like a glove.
Function = 10
The air tube does not have to hold pressure. It only has to transport air from the air box to the turbo. But I checked it for leaks anyway. I plugged both ends and I put an air valve adapter in the pcv inlet hole and filled the tube with 15psi. NO LEAKS.
PRICE = 10
Great price for the product. 100% satisfied.
Overall.
A great product. If I had 10 SyTy's I would buy 1 for each.
