Is this normal? boost launch stock conv.

My mostly stock truck will foot brake to 2500 /26 rpm with the stock converter! I of course have to do the neutral rev routine to do this. The rpm occurs with aprox 5lbs on the stock boost gauge. It will build up to around 12lbs if I hold it! Is this normal for the 2100 rpm stock conv. The truck is mechanically sound with no issues!

Sounds like you have some good brakes if the psi you say your hitting is actually being hit. Do you have an after market boost gauge or are you just basing this off the stock in dash unit? If the later, I'd attach a after market boost gauge and see if your right.

Believe it or not the stock Torque COnverter is rated at 1639 RPM. Anyways, my Sy stalls around 2200rpm with 5-6 psi (atleast according to the stock tach).

It's just a six

I can run 5,10,15,or more PSI with my stock converter & it will only go to 2100 RPM.
If you are getting 2500-2600 holding the brakes,I would venture to say it is not a stock torque converter.

The boost gauge is stock. The only mods that I have found are the KB fuel preasure regulator, open KB filter, Torque conv switch + intercooler switch, air foil. The truck will boost launch extremely hard for a mostly stock truck.
