Got an interesting PM from a new guy with a 0 post count in which he said "I can't post so I'm asking you....". I responded "If you can send PM's you can post". He replied "it says I'm in a probation period...."

Huh? What exactly IS the current registration requirement, etc? I recently joined a Ford Truck forum that has a 10-day as a member, 5 post minimum requirement to use PM's. Exact opposite of what this guy found here.

IIRC, don't new users also need to post at least 1x in the New Member section before other sections are "opened up"? I think that may have been the case at some point. Or I just made that shit up in my head.

You need to have so many posts (dont rem how many) before you can post in the classifieds so people just dont join up and try to sell their shit..Which still doesnt stop them sometimes
