Also made a couple of 108 MPH passes but those were not as quick:

12.354 @ 108.5
12.535 @ 108.04

All of that on "only" 19# of boost. The trick? it was cold. Density altitude computed to about -1400'.

IAT's were in the 70's, crazy.

The problem I'm working on is at the launch I get a bunch of spark retard. I'm gonna try two things. 1) retard the dist about 2* 2) I have access to VP 105 unleaded so I'm gonna start mixing that with the 91 instead of the Sonoco 100 at the track (the highest unleaded they offer.)

Don't need to go into the 11's because it puts me in a different class. But it was fun. I could tell the truck was pulling hard.

Good job Don!

By best was 12.31 at 108mph with a 1.74 60' on 20psi. Are you spinning on the Launch? What boost are you launching at?

I'm leaving on around 4#. Yes I was spinning with the track so cold. I brought my launch RPM down from about 2300 to 1900 to try to stop it. Normally I may get a chirp or something but don't really spin at all. For some screwy reason my truck has never responded well to high RPM, high boost launches.

In the first elimination round (where I let up on it after 1000') I ran 10.185 to 1000' which computes to about 10.25 and that launch was about 2#. Weird. Maybe I'll start launching at 750 and see what happens.:squint:

Yo alwayscode390... We're commin' out. NHRA Sept 27, we'll be there. Looking forward to it. We arrive the 25th so we can see the Arch and maybe some other sites. Recommendations?

And yes the track here was cold. Prolly only 3-4 dragsters showed, if that, and they were having a heck of a time hooking. The fast motorcycles didn't even attempt it.
