Intercooler

Does someone know exactly how the intercooler pump is activated? Is the fluid to be discharged out the side of the pump? What is the single spade device that is inserted into the intercooler for and is it supposed to be a ground? Mine is not complete I think. Does anyone know where to get the ground effect pieces, either new or old? I only need the side pieces for both sides, except for the passenger's door, which I have.
Thanks; Leon!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The intercooler is activated at a certain temperture. OR if it is wired in, it will run when the truck is turned on. For cladding, in the north east, Mark in Ohio has a lot of cladding, and can repair cladding

The single spade thing is a coolant level sender.

On stock systems, the ECM activates a ground to the Intercooler relay on the firewall, which applies voltage to the pump.

The stock chip activates this at a certain *engine coolant* temp (not intercooler coolant temp).

Very common for the pumps to die, and even more common for them to have air in the system that needs to be purged out before coolant can circulate.

Re: Intercooler

Hope you got a good deal on the truck, the cladding / ground effects cost can add up quickly.

Re: Intercooler

I have been unable to get ahold of anyone concerning cladding. If someone could please call me and let me know a way to get ahold of those folks that may have info on cladding, it would be most appreciated. I just need a phone number to call someone to find out how to get cladding.
My phone number is (575) 388-3468.
Thanks; Leon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
