Just got shot down again. 2nd time. First time I removed the ugly fuct up looking fascia replaced the btweaked support and left the cover off. Still needing 1 more front arch, I decided to leave the cover off not thinking it would be a big deal. I have it off for fitment reasons with the arch...so on.

The wouldn't touch truck 1st time because of cover being off and secondly the arch was not on revealing a small amount of rust. Suprized it was that big of a deal but it was. So it bothered me. I thought about duct tape. ? Temporary. Well I forgot I had a brand new can of bondo and just did a little quick fill. Simple enough. Who's going to say something now?

8am I'm at the door front and center at opening. Could ter person says ohh o remember. Let's look real quick. So I showed it. Next thing is tires.. Oh the tires.. I said wait a second no one ever said the tires were a issue. ( got 2 brand new ones up front, and 2 slightly used in rear). Oh there not the right size. Let me grab the mechanic. So this mechanic comes out saying how he knows the trucks and all this CRAP. My nuclear reactor was ready to melt down, let me tell you. Guy says oh the tires are not right size I know these trucks.. They should have a 215 or a 225. The bone head didn't even look. Just said he knows these and the tires. I asked him what he was going by and he said he knew. My fuse was so short. I said what are you going by. I opened my door and pointed out how the door jamb sticker is removed. So he had no size to go from. Both mechanics at that point were scratching there heads looking the the 2 STOOGES

I have a 225 on the truck. All 4 tires are the same make/brand. Just a 225. I bought my syclone with a 225 dunlope direzza DZ101 and it was in fact a undersized tire which passed inspection no problem.

Am I out of my Mellon or are they?

Time for a new place. Since when does PA look at tire sizes? Take to the place where you saw my truck sitting. I wouldn't recommend him for engine building, but for the quick day to day stuff, he is good.

Thanks for the heads up Jeff, I was hoping to do this all early morning. Being it is a holiday weekend it is not helping.

I never heard of anything like that. Only reason I went to this shop is becasue I know they have a alignment machine and I need a alignment. Wheel is crooked. I had the emissions done else where with no problems.

The continuing problem for me is these unnessacery rides with out a valid sticker. I feel like anymore I am skating on thin ice as I already went to take it to the emissions place earlier this month and was pulled over and hassled.Not ticketed. But Was hassled. A big ticket was written up but Im cool as the sun.:cool:

The shop I used to use, Does not have a alignment machine so they would have to sub that out. I know it for a fact. Again I am just trying to avoid a joy ride. I thought it was going to be super easy. Progressively getting hard.

I dont miss having to do those stupid inspections. Used to have to do them in NY. Some places you would pull up and they would check all your blinkers and brake lights worked and give you a sticker. Others would rack up $500 in repairs before you could get a sticker. I was a kid but I wasn't stupid. Out in Arizona they don't care if you have bald tires just have to pass emissions. Having classic car insurance gets you out of that.

Find a new place. I have never heard of them looking at sizes of tires!
They check the depth of the tread, but not size.
I have the same 2 inspection places I go to. Reputable, nice people. I trust them
